Once your website has been built and you are happy with the design, your designer should submit your website to Google for a page index scan.

In my experience some website designers are not doing this and as a result your newly designed website is stuck in a no search area for around 6 weeks.  This is no good for new businesses that need to be able to point their new customer enquiries to their website and they could be potentially losing customers.
